State Solo and Ensemble – April 26th, 2013


UHS Choirs competed at the State Solo & Ensemble Competition at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA on April 26th, 2013. UHS competed in Mixed Vocal – Large, Women’s Vocal – Large, Men’s Vocal – Large, Men’s Vocal – Small, Women’s Vocal – Small, and Alto Soloist (Ashley Tyler). Union brought home 1st place finish for Mixed Vocal – Large (Chamber Choir), Men’s Vocal – Large (Select Men’s Ensemble), and 3rd place for Men’s Vocal – Small (Men’s Quartet). In the past 6 years, Union has won the Men’s Vocal – Large category 5 times and placed 2nd only once. This was the first year to win the Mixed Vocal – Large category.
